SCHOOL STRATEGIC PLAN

Last week I extended an invitation to parents to be involved in the writing of our School Strategic Plan which maps out our plans for the next four years. This will be the final stage of the process which began with our Self Evaluation that we completed in the first half of the year and the School Review we undertook with an independent reviewer during Term 3.

The first stage of writing this plan is to revisit and possibly re-write our School Vision and Purpose statements.

Draft copies of these will be published in the newsletter and parents will be invited to make comment on them. Anyone wishing to be involved should contact me in order to be included on our meeting invitation list.

SCIENCE DAY

One of the highlights of this short week will be our Science Day which will be conducted on Thursday with all children participating. Reports of the day will be included in next week’s newsletter.

INTER SCHOOL SPORT FINALS

Once again I congratulate our Grade 5/6 Boys Basketball team which defeated Kilsyth Primary School 48 to 8 to win the Maroondah Zone final last Friday. Our team will now contest the Regional finals playing against the Whitehorse and Eastern Zones this Friday at the Maroondah Basketball Stadium. Well done to our team and their coach, Mr Quick, and good luck for Friday’s matches.
